Fireworks and our Animals

Our Animal Care Policy

The care and protection of all the animals at Marsh Farm is a priority for the business. We have a full time animal care team who are solely responsible for the welfare of the animals and are supported by a veterinary service.

The firework launch area is located at the furthest point of the farm from the animals and we put lots of precautions in place to make this a stress-free experience for the animals here at Marsh Farm.

Important Information

Please be aware that the Father Christmas Experience is based outside and in barns.

Please make sure you and your little ones are wrapped up warm.

1. Is it ‘Low Noise’ display?
No, it’s a regular display run by a professional Fireworks company. As with most firework displays, ours can be noisy and goes off with a bang. We recommend ear defenders for very young children or those who are particularly noise-sensitive.

If you live nearby and are worried about your pets, please rest assured that we will only ever run our Fireworks events on the weekend closest to 5th November when fireworks are generally expected and do not catch anyone by surprise.

2. Can I bring sparklers into the farm?
No, sparklers are not permitted

3. Can I bring my dog?
No animals or pets are allowed into the farm area, except for registered assistance animals.

4. What can’t I bring with me?
The following items will not be permitted on-site:

Alcohol / Illegal substances / anything that could reasonably considered for use as a weapon / Nitrous Oxide and legal highs / Food or drink (see above for exceptions) / Excessive quantities of cigarettes (ie more than for personal consumption) / Glass of any kind, including perfume and cologne bottles, beer bottles, jars or drinking vessels / Portable laser equipment and pens / Megaphones / Sound systems / Air horns / Spray cans / Fireworks / Sparklers / Flares / Animals (with the exception of assistance dogs) / Unofficial tabards or hi vis jackets / Professional camera or video equipment / Bicycles / drones and UAVs.

5. Is this an outdoors event?
This is an outside event, with attractions across the whole farm. The event is extremely popular, so please consider this as you plan your visit. We recommend you wear warm and waterproof clothing and sensible shoes. With wet weather expected throughout the week, expect grass areas of the farm to be wet under foot.

6. Are there toilets on-site?
Toilets will be available across the site with baby changing facilities at the front of the farm and in both disabled and ladies’ toilets.

7. Can I bring a push chair?
Please be aware that the event is set on a farm. If wet weather is forecast, the grass areas of the farm will be wet under foot. Entrances and exits will be busy at peak times. Please factor this into your planning.

8. Our neighbours
Marsh Farm is surrounded by residential housing. Please respect our neighbours by leaving quietly and taking your litter home with you. Thank you.

  1. What time is last entry?
    Last entry is 4.30pm.
  2. What time are the Fireworks on?
The fireworks display will start at 6.30pm
  3. Help, you’re sold out and I don’t have tickets!
Sorry, there is no waiting list and no tickets are available on the gate
  4. Where do we park?
We will be using both car parks, keep your eyes peeled as you approach Marsh Farm, we will have lots of team members in high-vis to direct you. Please be prepared to park in a ‘standard’ width space. As this is a busy event we are not able to allow large gaps between vehicles. If you are a blue badge holder, please notify our parking attendants who can direct you to the appropriate parking spaces. If you’re arriving on foot, please head to the admissions hut. Our parking is free to our visitors.
  5. What time does the event end?
The event ends after the Fireworks display, approximately 6.50pm. As everyone is leaving at the same time, please be patient when waiting to exit the car park. To ease congestion, a one way system is in place upon exiting the car park.
Please respect this, and our team.
  6. Can we watch the display from our car?
Sorry, you are not permitted to watch from your car. Our car parks are closed from 6.15pm until after the display.
  7. Will you be serving food and drink?
Yes! Hot food will be available from 10am – 5:45pm in the indoor soft play area and from 2pm – 5:45pm the Fish and Chips hut.
  8. Do you allow adult-only entries?
As part of our safeguarding policy, adult-only admissions are not allowed.  Should an adult be meeting a group including children at a later time, we would kindly ask that on arrival you contact them by mobile and request that they meet you at the entrance for identification.  Thank you for your support to ensure the safety of all our visitors.
